CLASS 27 Riding Horse now CLOSED!

SHOW NOTICE - IMPORTANT
***CLASS 27 IS NOW CLOSED TO ENTRIES ON THE DAY!!! ***
In an unprecedented move our Secretary has had no choice but to close the Class 27 Riding Horse in Ring 4 at 9am to ensure those who have entered are not still in there at lunchtime!
Apologies to anyone hoping to enter on the day!
Please note this is the only class at this time that has been closed to entries on the day.

Dinner Dance 31st July 2015 South of England Show ground

Three Counties Riding Club in conduction with Surrey Spring Show are holding a dinner dance on 31st July 2015 at Ardingly Showground raising money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, St Catherine's Hospice, Crawley & Three Counties Riding Club.

Everyone is welcome, tickets are £38 for adults and £30 for under 18's. Dinner, dancing, a games of heads and tails, tombola and a lot of laughing.

SSS now a qualifier for The Sunshine Tour!

EXCITING NEWS!

We are now an official qualifier for THE SUNSHINE TOUR!!

The Sunshine Tour is a fun and thrilling National Unaffiliated Championship Series featuring Dressage, Show Jumping, Showing, Eventers Challenge and Combined Training. This year the Championships are being held on the ‘hallowed turf’ of The All England Showground at Hickstead from Friday 18th – Sunday 20th September 2015.

There’s a wide choice of championship classes to qualify for and fantastic prizes to be won. All you need to do is be placed 1st to 6th in a qualifying class!

Qualifying classes are: 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 38 & 39.

SHOW GOING AHEAD - DRY WEATHER PREDICTED!

Hi all, we can confirm that following our site visit on Monday we are confirmed for the go ahead on Sunday and the ground conditions are expected to be very good.

Weather forecast at the moment is for a dry day and temperature between 14 and 19 degrees!!!!

The Crown at Turners Hill at Surrey Spring Show

Page 7 of the schedule The Ridden Championship will include 1st and 2nd prize winners from classes 7 to 11 (ring 2) and classes 27 to 30 (ring 4).

Danny & his team did an amazing job in 2013 and also kindly donated a print to each of our championship winners as well as making a donation to the charity from their proceeds on the day of the show.

New Class for 2014 Foreign Breeds

We were asked by some of our supporters for a Foreign Breeds class. We have managed to fit in another class to the busy schedule taking us up to 42 classes!!! We will provide further details of the class and its regulations shortly.

Final count of the funds raised for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity & At Catherine's Hospice (Crawley)from the 2013 show is £20,000.00 which will be split 50/50 between the two charities.

These charities do utterly amazing work and the money raised will help to continue their incredible work!!!

Once again Karan & her team have done and incredible job with our cake stand at the show. There were a huge selection of cakes, biscuits, Little Books of Baking & tea and coffee as well as a brilliant raffle for the Surrey Spring Show cakes. Thank you to Karan & her team for all there hard work.




Another thank you to all our judges, volunteers, stewards, stall holders and food and drink suppliers

Without all our volunteers we would simply not be able to put on the show and with 70 of them on site during the day the list is too long to add here but we are externally gratefully to them.
Thank you also to our stall holders: The National Mobile Bar Company, The Horley Lions BBQ, Andy Irvine & Shovelstrode Stud & Kitchens Bespoke for running the hog roast as well as our farrier's Jim & Grant from Bolebroke Mill Forge.

Racehorse to Riding Horse Championship class

This year we are really excited to announce that our Racehorse to Riding Horse class will be a qualifier for the Ex Racers Club Blue Chip Championship.
First & second prize winners from this class will receive qualification to the Ex Racers Club Blue Chip Championship on 14th September 2013 at Romsey Agricultural and Horse Show.

Letter from Surrey Spring Show Chairwoman

Dear all,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Thanks to all your support, and that of our sponsors and volunteers, we raised an unbelievable £16,000.00 from last years show to support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and St Catherine’s Hospice in Crawley.

I, along with the rest of the committee were over joyed at the level support shown to the show, and I hope you all enjoyed the day as much as we did. We are very, very excited to be running a second Surrey Spring Show for 2012.

We have taken on board all your feedback from the 2011 show and this year will be making changes to the layout of the show ground to increase the number of warm up arena’s and collecting rings and of course Julie did an outstanding job in the secretaries hut but we will be cloning her for 2012!!

This show has so much personal meaning for all of us in the committee and we hope that we will get to see you all again at the 2012 show and have a wonderful and exciting day whilst trying to match the fundraising total of 2011.

Look forward to seeing you all on 20th May 2012.
